Setting up a Manual Discount
For members who do not qualify for the discount for already being a society member, a manual discount code will need to be setup and utilized post-registration. Credits associated with this registration will be transferred to the society membership order.

To setup a manual discount:
1. From the Rates, Discounts, Coupons section of the Personify menu, click the Discount Maintenance button. The discount maintenance screen will open on a new screen tab.

2. Within the Discount Maintenance screen within Personify, click the Create New Product Discount button. The Discount Maintenance screen tab will refresh.

3. From the Discount Identification section of the screen, update the following:
a. Enter a Description of the discount you are setting up. If this discount will be recurring, it’s a good idea to include the year and be as specific as possible what the discount will cover.
b. Check the Fixed Line Level checkbox to ensure that the discount only affects the meeting registration line item.
c. Update the Fixed Amount to ensure the discount only applies a dollar amount to the registration line.
d. Check the Manual Discount checkbox to allow you to add the discount manually to the order.

4. Update the Valid from and Valid thru dates in the Discount Parameters section.

5. Save
any changes to the discount.
