Transferring the Credit Balance
When you have a credit balance on an order, it either needs
to be transferred to another order with a balance OR refunded to the
constituent. In this instance, we transfer the credit balance to a society membership
order.

To transfer the credit balance:
1. Access the
Customer Financial Analysis screen (either from the order entry screen, or the
accounting menu) and search for the customer as needed.
2. Select and
highlight the order line with the credit balance.
3. Click the
Transfer Balance button.

4. Select Line
Receipt from the Transfer Mode drop down menu.
5. Enter the Order
Number in the To This Order section of the screen. If you do not know the
order number, click on the Order Number hyperlink to open the order
balance chooser.
6. Select the Line
number from the drop down menu.
7. Update the Collected
Receipt Transfer Amount to be the amount of the credit.
8. Click the Complete
Transfer button. The transfer will complete and the receipt transfer
screen will close.
