Preventing Duplicate Constituents
To minimize the amount of duplicates received, users should
always perform a search for the customer before creating a new customer
record. The AOA has customized any search screen using Studio Tools to make
them more meaningful (such as adding City, State, or Email fields).
Users should also enter aliases at any time for a customer
with multiple names, including maiden names, hyphenated names, and acronyms.
This will ensure the customer’s name will display in a search for all possible
variations of his or her name.
