Updating Password

By default, the password is the individual’s last name.  For example, the password for Linda Campbell would be Campbell.  The case and punctuation is the same, with the exception of an apostrophe.  For instance, O’Malley would be Omally.

1.    To update an individual’s password, click on the hyperlink next to the Web Credentials.

2.    Check mark the box next to New Password.  Password requirements are in place for the user’s security.

3.    Update the password to be the individual’s last name exactly how it is spelled in Personify.  (i.e. if the last name is Campbell, update the password to be Campbell.)

(Note:  If the individual has an apostrophe in their name, omit the apostrophe when creating the password.  For example, if the individual’s last name is O’Brian, update the password to be OBrian.)

4.    After entering the new password, use the Tab key to enter and confirm the password field.

5.    Click on the Submit button to save the change.

Important!

Once the password has been updated to the individual’s last name from the Personify application, it is important to explain to the user that we recommend that they update their password online upon logging in for security reasons.  If the user needs ASSISTANCE, walk the user through the online password reset steps in Account Settings.
