Creating a New Shipping Method
To create a new shipping method
in Personify, click on the Shipping and Inventory tab in the ribbon.
Click on the Shipping Charge Definition button.
The Shipping
Charge Maintenance screen will display. To view existing shipping methods,
just click on the search button.
The shipping
methods can be narrowed down by certain parameters such as the country being
shipped to, the method, it is availability to the web, and if value added tax
is calculated or not.
- Click
on the Create New Shipping Code to start with the creation of the new
shipping method.
- The
Shipping Charges Maintenance screen will display. Before setting up the
shipping information, it is important to determine the following.
- Country:
Determine the country for the shipping charges.
- Ship
Via: Determine the shipping methods used such as FedEx 2day, UPS
Next Day, etc.
- Available
to Web: Checking the available to web checkmark box allows the
shipping method to be used online when making an online purchase.
- Calculate
VAT: Checking the Calculate VAT checkmark box will make the VAT
fields to the right are required and calculates VAT based upon the
following selections.
i. VAT
Rate: Determine the VAT Rate used.
ii. VAT
Delivery Term: Determine the VAT Delivery Term.
iii. VAT
Transport Mode: Determine the VAT Transport mode.
