Defining Shipping Charges by Schedule by Weight or Price

Defining Shipping Charges by Schedule by Weight or Price

Personify can define charges by schedule which allows the shipping charge to increase/decrease when either the price or weight of the product in the order line increase or decrease.  However, only ONE schedule can be active per Country/Ship-Via Combination, either by price or by weight.  An active schedule is composed of all shipping charges with the same effective begin date for the calculation to work.

Defining Shipping Charges by Schedule by Price

Personify sums the total amounts of the lines matching with the matching Ship-Via code and customer.  It then determines the correct shipping charge for and order from the schedule.  This amount is then prorated among the lines.  Changing a schedule only affects future orders and un-invoiced/unshipped orders.

    2. Update the High Order Line Amount for this Fee.  This is the high end of the range for one line within the schedule.

Defining Shipping Charges by Schedule by Weight

When defining shipping charges by schedule by weight, the system calculates the weight of all the items in an order and then bases shipping on the total weight compared to the schedule.  The shipping charge by weight is calculated based upon the products individual weight multiplied by the quantity and compared with the low/high values defined in the schedule.  Changing a schedule only affects future orders and un-invoiced/unshipped orders.  See the example below.
