Cancellation Fees

The cancellation fees screen shows allows the user to define a date-based cancellation policy or restocking fees for each of the rate structures setup in the rates and pricing section.  Fees may be defined as a percentage or a fixed amount and may charge over a series of cut-off dates.

From Product Central either search or create a new inventoried product.  Under the Product Definition screen task category, click the Define Cancellation Fees screen task.  The Product Maintenance | Cancellation Fees screen will appear.

1.    From the Rate Code Details section, select the appropriate Rate Structure to add cancellation fees.

2.    From the Cancellation Fees Details section, click the Add button.  Update the following information.

a.    Cancellation Amount or Cancellation Percentage:  Information can be entered in the Cancellation Amount or the Cancellation Percentage, NOT both.  At least one of these two fields must be defined to save the record even if the amount or percentage is set to zero.

b.    Valid From and Valid Thru:  Drop down defines the date when the return or cancellation fee will be charged.

3.    Save  any changes made to the Cancellation Fees.
