The coded search categories section extends the
functionality of the keywords by allowing products to be queried by
commonality. These queries are back office as well as the e-Business
application. Where multiple products of the same type exist, the type is
defined as the classification or category and the products may be defined
within that classification with subcategories.
From Product Central either search or create a new
inventoried product. Under the Relationships screen task category,
click the Categories and Keywords screen task. The Product Maintenance
| Search Categories screen will appear.

To add a category to an inventoried product, click, on the Add
button in the Coded Search Categories. Select the Category from the
drop down menu to the right.

Subcategories can be added as well if needed. These will further
categorize like products.
The user defined keywords section associates common terms or
phrases with an active product. The goal in creating these keywords is to
provide a useful utility for product searches over the web. To improve search
results, keywords should be general and have a logical connection to the
product for which it is defined.

button in the User Defined Keywords. Type in the Keyword and use the
tab key on the keyboard.
