When creating multiple inventoried products that have
similar setups, Personify offers a Copy Product functionality to make this
process easier and less time-consuming. The Copy Product functionality allows
you take the setup of an existing product and copy over any or all of its
parameters including GL Accounts and pricing setups by simply checking off the
parameters the user requests.
The Copy Product screen consists of two tabs, New Product to
be Created & Copy Parameters
1.
To copy an existing product, from Product Central, search for the
product to be copied. Once found, highlight the product, and click Copy
This Product.
2. The copy product
screen appears. The top will display the original product being copied. Below
on the New Product to be Created tab, enter the following:
a. Product Code
b. Parent Product
c. Product Class
d. Product
Description & Invoice Description
e. Date Available
to Sell
3. Click on the
Next button to display the Copy Parameters tab.
4. From the Copy
Parameters tab, update the GL Account Parameters you wish to copy to the new
product.
a. System
Accounts: To copy the GL Account setup from the existing product, choose Copy
System accounts.
b. Revenue
Accounts: To copy the revenue account pair, check the Copy Revenue Accounts
toggle.

From the Copy Parameters section, check the parameters to copy from the
existing product to the new.
6.
Once all selections are complete, click on the Copy Product
button.

The Product Maintenance | General Setup will display. Update any
product definition and save 
any changes.
