Adjusting Inventory

Adjusting Inventory

The Inventory Adjustment screen adjusts inventory based upon physical count or some other reason.  When adjusting inventory, Personify does not allow adjustments that result in negative inventory.  However, when cost implications are associated with inventory adjustments, system parameters can be set to adjust the average product cost when inventory adjustments are made.  This screen deals with the potential creation of new back orders, including the potential reversal of items that have printed packing slips.

To create an inventory adjustment, from the Shipping and Inventory ribbon toolbar, select Inventory Adjustment.

  1. Search for the product code, highlight the line, and click the Adjust Inventory button.

  1. The Inventory Adjustment screen will appear.  Update the following to make an adjustment in Personify.
    1. Warehouse:  Hyperlink will open a box to select the warehouse.
    2. Bin Location:  Hyperlink will open a box to select the bin.
    3. Adjustment Date:  Update the Adjustment Date which can be post-dated for adjustments that occurred in the past.
    4. Adjustment Type:  Update the type or reason for the adjustment
    5. Adjustment to Quantity in Stock:  Update the quantity of items to be adjusted.  This must be entered in as positive 10 or negative -10 number.
    6. Comments:  Enter any comments as needed.

Note:  Any adjustments made in the system must be in the form of a positive or negative number.

  1. Use the Save button to save changes made to the inventory adjustment screen.
