Transferring Inventory

Transferring Inventory

The Inventory Transfer screen specifically moves inventory from one warehouse to another or from one bin to another within the same warehouse.  Because multiple locations of a single warehouse allowed, each inventoried item must be defined specific to a bin location.  The system back-orders any committed orders when the inventory is transferred out.

If a user attempts to transfer inventory to a warehouse that does not currently store inventory for the product, a warning message displays, but users can continue with the process.  There are no cost implications associated to an inventory transfer.

To transfer inventory in Personify, use the Inventory Transfer tool from the Shipping and Inventory ribbon toolbar.

  1. Search for the product, highlight the line, and click the Transfer Inventory button.
