Refunding a Credit Card Receipt
- Locate the order users wish to generate a refund
for. Highlight the first line and from the screen tasks, under Work
with Line Items chose Refund and Item.

- The Refund Controls screen will appear and users
will want to verify the following:
- Refund Only needs to be selected at the
top of the window.
- Refund Amount is where users will enter
the amount of the refund and use the Tab key.
- Notes will need to be entered as to why
a refund is being issued.
- Multiple Receipts Involved will only be
available if the member made more than one payment for their order. We
can issue more than one receipt at a time as long as it is for the same
order.

- Switch to the second tab, Receipts Referenced.
Expand the receipt line and verify the amounts and lines that they are
correct.

- Switch to the third tab, Refund to Specific
Credit Card Receipt. Verify the Refund Amount is correct. Please
note the following
- Refund by Check: This will only be used
if the organization is going to cut check from the A/P account for the
refund.
- Pre-Settled: This will only be used if
the organization has settled the refund with cash or if the refund was
handled on the merchant level (i.e. VeriSign, or PayPal).
- Edit Credit Card Info: This information
is only used if the constituent would like to have the refund made to
another credit card. The credit card information would have to be
entered manually from this point.
- If the information is correct, take a screenshot
of the refund process screen and then click Process. This will
save the refund information.
