Running the LCK100

Running the LCK100

The first step in daily lockbox processing is uploading the bank file(s) and processing it in LIST mode.  Running this process in List mode is similar to running other processes in Edit mode.  It puts the data into the lockbox holding table, creates the batch, and produces a report, but receipts will not be created until the transactions are posted.  It is recommended that users review the lockbox files for errors before entering the receipts and posting them in Personify.

To run the LCK100 in LIST mode:

1.    From the Personify toolbar select Reporting > Job Submission.

2.    Click Search and select the application “LCK100”.  This will open the TRS Job Submission screen.

3.    From the task bar, click Upload Input File.  A window will open prompting users to enter the File Name or to search for the latest bank file using the Browse button.

NOTE:  Before uploading the file, copy (CTRL + C) the file name only

4.    After selecting the bank file, click Upload File.  A message will confirm a successful upload.

5.    From the Job Parameters section:

a.    Update the Run Mode to be LIST.  This will read the input file provided and upload the data into a holding table.

b.    Enter the Batch Date.  The batch date should match the deposit date.

c.    Enter the appropriate Map ID.  By default, it should display UMB_FILE.

d.    Enter the File ID.  Enter a numeric value.  This will be used if the file has errors to identify which upload attempt they were in when uploading multiple files.

e.    Enter the full name of the file in the Input Text File field.

NOTE:  Use the paste function (CTRL + V) to paste the file name copied prior to Step 4.

6.    From the task bar, click Run This Report Now.  The process will automatically create a batch for receipts on the file.  It will figure out the control count and control amount based upon the receipts on the file.  The process will apply the money to each line in the order up to the line full amount based upon the priority or line number if all priorities are the same.

7.    View the job status.  Click the View Job Status button to monitor the report.

8.    The Submission Status screen will appear.  The job will pass through the statuses, New, Started, Running, and Completed.  Once the status Completed has been achieved, click on the Output tab.

9.    From the Output tab, open the LCK100_UPLOAD report.  This report will show the validated and transactions uploaded with errors.

10.  If there are no errors on the report, run the LCK100 Process in POST mode.

11.  If there are errors on the report, use the Lockbox Process and Error Correction screen to correct them.

To run the LCK100 in POST mode:
