Society Learning Events for CE

Offering learning events for continuing education can be beneficial for members who are looking to squeeze in an additional day of learning and networking with their fellow members.  This is a common occurrence among society membership and registration can be tracked within the meeting subsystem in Personify.

To ensure that pricing is accurate and the society membership dues portion can be transferred, a series of discounts, meeting products, and membership products work together to make this program work.  If registrants are already members of the society, an automatic discount is applied.

When the registrant is not a member of the society, the order is created at full price.  A manual discount is then applied to the order and the receipt is transferred to a new society membership order.

Members are charged a registration fee for the meeting however, sometimes a portion of that registration fee is transferable to the dues of that member.  Personify can handle this using a discount for existing members forcing non-members to pay the higher dues rate.
