Validating Products

Once all the setup of a meeting product is complete, it is important to verify all dates and required fields are filled.  To tell if the product has validated, a green check box will show next to the Validate Setup screen task.  To validate, click on the Validate Setup from the Define the Product screen task category.

If the product does not validate, there is a number of reasons why this may have resulted in error.  Check the following to make sure everything is set up properly.

  • GL Accounts and Revenue Accounts dates are not synchronized with the Rates and Pricing Dates.
  • The product status is not actively selected.
  • Missing GL Account pairs.
  • Missing the default rate code.
  • Product default rate does not have a price associated with it.
