Political Committees
Personify can track other political
demographics when they are added to a committee. The committee groups the
politicians and allows users to track political affiliation as well as district
information they are representing.
Creating
a Legislative Committee
- From the home page, click on the Work
with a Committee button from the menu.

- Update the Customer Class to
be Legislative Group and search for any existing committees of
legislators.
Note:
Always SEARCH before creating a new committee in Personify. Use term begin/end
dates to track the involvement of a committee member.
If no committee was found,
click the Create New Committee button.

- From the Create a New Committee window,
update the Committee Class to be Legislative Group.
- Update the Address Type to be Blank.
- Update the Committee Name

- Click Save & Close at
the bottom of the window.

Adding
a Member to a Political Committee
- From the Committee Members tab of
Committee Central, click the Add New Member button. The Customer
Chooser window will appear. Search for a constituent.

- Update the Committee Member Details
information.
- Begin Date: This is the date the politician
first took office.
- Position: Update the position to be
Member
- End Date: Update the end date should the
individual’s term end.
- Participation Status: Update the participation status
to be Active
- Voting Status: Update the voting status to be
Non-Voting Member.

- Update additional details in the Committee
Member Details section.
- Political Party: Choose a political party from
the drop down menu.
- Congressional District: Enter the congressional
district the individual is representing.

- Click Save at the bottom of
the window.
