Keep Best Practices with Constituent Data Update List Demographics

AOA primary tasks the Affiliate Relations & Membership Group (ARMG) with changing constituent data to maintain data quality and integrity. However, we want to empower all users to take ownership of the data. If you need to change contact information, relationships, education records, or licensure data and don’t feel comfortable or have additional questions, please reach out. Submit your requests to addresschange@aoa.org.

We encourage Personify360® users to use the AOA Knowledge Base to learn more about HOW to make changes using the AMS. The additional resources about managing constituent data are available to in the topics & categories listed below.

Support is also available from the AOA Service Desk should you need additional assistance. You can email technical support questions to support@aoa.org.

As we advance, adding comments to the List demographics is a new process that all users need to perform on ALL RECORDS. Historically, AOA & affiliate staff have used “Miscellaneous Comments” to track and store contact information updates. Therefore, it is recommended that best practice review these records as needed for historical changes to contact information.

Miscellaneous Comments, however, are not shared across organizations, and this new process allows both AOA & affiliate staff to see why data is changing. Together, we can keep the integrity and improve the information we curate for all organizations.
