Doctors of optometry can now join the AOA and an affiliate directly through the website. This is completed through the online join web application. These potential members, also known as provisional members, are crucial to the organization. Participants will have the tools and knowledge to assist these members through the online join process. You will learn how proforma membership orders are generated, how to work with notifications sent to new members and affiliate staff.


Many of the reports, data analyzer queries, and notifications are modified by the AOA Application Development team. We can work with you on making sure you get the outputs you need to perform the day-to-day functions to operate your association.

The AOA & affiliate websites all have a constituent profile section called “MyAOA” which allows constituents to update their profile information via the internet. Learn how to assist your constituency with accessing the web, updating the profile contact info, “Find a Doctor” information, manage staff using the Online Staff Management tool, join ancillary memberships, pay dues online, and contribute to foundations & PACs.


All aspects of our business revolve around members and nonmembers. This course will educate participants on how to read a membership order in Personify and distinguish between a member record vs a non-member record. This training will also cover the federated membership dues model.


The order specialist has many tasks to complete. Order specialists are the back office users of the inventory products module. Participants will learn how to create, maintain, inventory products orders using the order entry subsystem. Learn how to take payment for orders, update shipping and billing information, and process order exceptions. In addition, learners will also gain the tools and resources to apply discounts, adjust pricing, and manage inventory of products as needed.

Membership can be the backbone of an association. This course will teach you the types of membership that can be setup in Personify. Membership structures are created to maintain the various levels (national, chapter, society, etc.) of membership available for membership products. Participants will review the membership structure setup in Personify, in addition to reviewing the setup of existing membership products in AOA.


Learners will be trained on how to search for and manage constituent records within Personify. This is done in CRM360®. You will work with background information, involvement history, contact information, and much more. Included with this training is a brief overview of the Contact Tracking module.


Personify will process all transactions including receipts through batches. Learn how to create and manage these batches within Personify. Participants will list the types of batches used for the AOA, as well as process payments on orders. This training will also teach participants the financial policies and procedures the AOA has put in place when it comes to handling payments.

Membership is a product in Personify, and you will learn how membership products are designed to function. This product is a service offered to constituents who which to be members of your association. A primary objective of this session will be learning the unique capabilities of membership products such as their start and end dates, fulfillment status, and more. We’ll discuss how to create, manage, and pay open orders in Personify.


The measures and outcomes registry for eyecare (MORE) is a private, secure database that integrates patient data and provides secondary uses of this data. Members must enroll in the registry before accessing this data, and this is done through the AOA MORE web application. Though you cannot enroll an individual through the back office of Personify, learning how to update an enrollee’s record can enhance the process. Participants will learn how a constituent is enrolled in the program, the owner and employee paths, the notifications sent to providers, and some customer service tips and tricks!


Join us for a multi-day workshop on the event and exhibitor modules within Personify360. This workshop will provide learners on how to use Personify as the primary AMS for meeting/event management. The workshop will facilitate any discovery and implementation of the meetings/events, facilities, subsystems within Personify. Learners should have a moderate understanding of how the accounting, order entry and customer subsystems within Personify along with established processes for each. This event will string together existing courses offered by the technical training & support team.


Payments are taken in Personify in various ways. Users will learn how to process payments in Personify for Membership orders.
